Civic North

The whole practice, mapped, built, and documented.

The Flagship Build maps the full system: how work arrives, how it moves, where it waits for you, and what good looks like at each step. Then it builds that system into a workspace your whole practice can run on.

Outcome:A practice that runs its repeatable work as a documented system, without routing every step through the owner.

Who Flagship is for

A good fit if

Collaborators and clients depend on knowledge only you hold, several workflows need to connect, or the studio is turning away work it could take with better infrastructure.

Not yet if

You need one task fixed. The Sprint or Foundation will get you further, faster, for less.

Many voices, one standard

Each client voice kept separate, proposals and reports produced to one standard, onboarding that a project lead can run without the founder.

Complex work, held together

Intake, documents, revision tracking, and delivery communication built around the way the work actually runs.

What Flagship includes

Deep knowledge extraction

Structured conversations that capture your standards, exceptions, decision points, and the language your best work uses.

A full workflow map

Where work begins, what it needs, where it moves, and who approves it, drawn in plain language you review before the build.

Skills, workflows, and schedules

Repeated jobs, tool connections, and timed work designed as one system, each skill with its own knowledge guide.

Custom tools where they earn their place

Estimators, trackers, intake portals, or client-facing resources, built when the workflow calls for them.

Team training on live work

The people who will use the workspace learn it on real projects, with guides they can return to.

Every loop and checkpoint

Corrections improve the system over time, permissions stay narrow, and consequential work waits for the right person.

A quarterly workspace review in the first year

Four times in the first year, we review how the system is being used, what has drifted, and what should change next. Included in the Flagship price.

The first three months of Workspace Care

Monthly health checks, one new or upgraded component a month at base level, and a short pulse report, included for the first three months. After that, Care continues from $600 per month, only if you want it.

A sample workflow map

Every Flagship begins by mapping each recurring workflow like this, before anything is built. This one is the proposal workflow for Harbor and Pine, the fictional studio on the Examples page.

Sample proposal workflow mapAn inquiry goes to the proposal skill, which drafts from the knowledge guide and passes three checks before the owner reviews, edits, and sends it; if seven days pass with no reply, a follow-up skill drafts a timing note for the owner to review, and the owner's edits become guide corrections.Inquiry arrivesemail, as writtenKnowledge guidemethod, standards, rate cardProposal skilldrafts from the guideChecksprices from the rate card onlyno launch date promisedexclusions statedOwner reviews and editsOwner sendsfrom their own account7 days, no replyscheduled checkFollow-up skilldrafts a timing noteOwner's edits become guide corrections

Scope, approval, and limits

A Flagship engagement begins with a written design you approve: components, price, timeline, and exclusions. The workspace will not replace your creative judgment, send client work without approval, or stay current without the corrections your team feeds it.

Not ready for a build? Start with the Sprint.

How a Flagship is installed

A Flagship workspace is not installed all at once at the end. Each stage is built and tested first, then installed with you, with team training on live work for that stage, so the people who will use it learn it on real projects.

The install follows the same guided model: folders and instructions emailed ahead, by video call, you and your team logged in and making every click, including every tool connection and scheduled task setup.

Permissions stay narrow: each component gets only the access its job requires, and consequential work, including money, contracts, and client commitments, always stops at a person.

Each stage ends with a short written record of what was installed and what it connects to. At handover, the complete record is the list of everything installed, in plain language. The install sessions included are named in your written scope.

Flagship questions

How does a Flagship build start, and how is it paid?

It starts with a written design you approve: components, price, timeline, and exclusions. No build begins on a verbal scope. Flagship builds are paid in milestones, and ownership of the finished system transfers at final payment.

How does my team learn it, and what happens after the first year?

The people who will use the workspace learn it on real projects, with guides they can return to. The first year includes a quarterly workspace review and the first three months of Workspace Care. After that, Care continues from $600 per month, only if you want it.

Map the system before you add another patch.

Bring the workflow that is too important to stay scattered across people, files, and memory.
